Terms of service

Last updated October 23, 2026

The short version: the first 5 days are free. Unlocking the rest is a one-time payment, handled by Paddle, with a 14-day money-back promise. No subscription, no in-game purchases.

Who we are

Cubemas (cubemas.com and play.cubemas.com) is made by Cleverly v/ Mikkel Andersen, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway, organisation number 923 880 054 (NO 923 880 054 MVA), Rastafaret 12, 1476 Rasta, Norway. You can reach us at hello@cubemas.com.

By playing Cubemas or buying the full calendar you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Cubemas.

Grown-ups and kids

  • Cubemas is a game for children aged about 5 to 10, played under the eye of a parent or guardian.
  • Accounts and purchases are for grown-ups only (18 or older). A grown-up creates the account, adds their children and makes any purchase.
  • Children never need an account. A grown-up links a child's device to their island with a short code.
  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for what happens on your account.

What you buy

  • The full calendar ($9.99, one-time) unlocks days 6 to 25 of the current season for one child.
  • Each extra child ($4.99, one-time) unlocks the same for another child on the same grown-up account.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars. Your local sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout, and the checkout shows the final price before you pay.
  • It's a single payment for a digital product, not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to buy inside the game.
  • Unlocked calendars stay playable after Christmas, so missed days can still be opened.

Payments are handled by Paddle

Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all our orders: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and handles payment questions and refunds. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase in addition to these terms. We never see or store your card details.

Refunds

If Cubemas isn't right for your family, you can get your money back within 14 days of buying, as long as no more than 3 paid presents have been opened. If it doesn't work on your device, you'll always get your money back. See our refund policy for the details and how to ask.

The paid days unlock as soon as you buy. At checkout you agree to that, and accept that the statutory 14-day right to cancel digital content ends once it has been delivered. This doesn't limit any other rights you have under consumer law in your country, for example if the game is faulty.

Using Cubemas

  • Cubemas is for personal, non-commercial use by your family.
  • Please don't copy, resell or share paid access, try to break or overload the service, or get around the payment.
  • The game, its art, music, words and code belong to Cleverly v/ Mikkel Andersen. Photos your family takes of your own island are yours to keep and share.
  • Cubemas is an original game and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Cubemas running smoothly, but it runs in your web browser and over the internet, so we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs. We may improve the game, add surprises or change features over time. We won't take away days you've paid for in the current season.

If we ever have to stop Cubemas during a season you've paid for and can't offer what you bought, we'll refund you. We may close accounts that break these terms; if that happens without a good reason, you'll get a refund.

Liability

Cubemas is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Privacy

How we handle data, including for children, is explained in our privacy notice.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date above. Changes don't affect purchases you've already made.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at hello@cubemas.com and we'll do our best to sort it out. If you live in another country, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live, and you can use your local courts.
